Mom's first trip to the States!

Scrub the bath-tub, check. Vacuum the carpet, check. Do the laundry, check. Hide any poignant evidence, check...Coast is clear.

Mom and grandma rolled into town today! Dashed to the airport to pick them up in the afternoon. Man, my car is just too scorching hot. Since moi ain't got 2 extra penny to fix the A/C thus my passengers and I usually have to succumb to the wave of sweltering heat spinning inside the car, which resembles the inside of an oven to be honest.

During winter, it's still bearable cuz the heater does work. But comes summer, all hell breaks loose. Today's smoldering sun didn't help too much either. I was practically baking and was soaked in sweat doing nothing but driving.

But eh..I'm not complaining too much as long as my baby takes me from point A to point B. It's still better than taking the no. 11. (meaning walking on your feet) So far it's been good to me as well so..touchwood...


And boy my grandma and mom bought me truckloads of food, all the way from home!!! My grandma even brought me my utmost favorite--Tao Sa Piah (red bean pastry)... hmm...had them for dinner. Simply irresistible, I'm telling ya...The mountain of food they brought will probably be enough to last me for another half a year or so =p At least that'll save half my grocery bill until someone extends his/her kindness and decides to hire me..
