So many things to do, so little time...

Early in the morning I woke up to the annoying scream of the alarm clock. I should be glad it's the weekend but when my mind cleared after a few moment I realize the reason I can't seem to bring myself to enjoy the crisp Saturday morning...

I have to work...again...today. What a bother, especially since I slept pretty late last night after a fun night out with some friends at Tea Station.

When I finally managed to drag myself to the office I perked up a little bit. There were several beautiful dogs in the house! Today we are supposed to shoot an introductory show about dog training. The Taiwanese Dog Association brought in 4 dogs, 2 of which were Taiwanese Gao Shan dog, the other a golden retriever and the last one a wolf dog (?).

I have to say it ain't easy filming dogs as you never know when they're in the right mood. Besides that we had to take several reshots as sometimes the dogs do not act the way you imagined and have scripted for. However we captured all the footage anyways as it is a documentary about training dogs afterall. We need to show some cases of failures as well so that new trainers wouldn't be discouraged if their dogs do not act the way as they wished initially.

After several hours of panting and running around with the dogs, we called it a day since the dogs were exhausted. Not to mentioned my poor arms from assembling and hoisting around all the cumbersome equipments.

Nevertheless this is not to say my work was over. We had yet another program coming right up after that. We will be collaborating with a Taekwondo Center to film a teaching series. So several of us will be going through some vigirous Taekwondo training to become the spokesperson for both ours and their company.

It is pretty invigorating to learn something entirely different and challenging. It is also a formidable form of art to acquire as Taekwondo is instrumenal in practicing self-defense. Currently our biggest challenge is to figure out a combination of the art and some captivating sequences to yield an alluring yet intriguing series.

After some serious kicking and punching, I surrendered and trotted home to the comfort of a soothing warm shower. When I thought I can finally have some peaceful quiet moments, my roommates came knocking on my door inviting me to a nightout in downtown Los Angeles.

Now how can anyone give up such an opportunity, right? So again I scampered out the door to a night of relaxation and excitement. It's been awhile since I last went on a shopping excursion so the thought of exhaustion flew instantly out of the window.

A whole bunch of us headed up to The Grove in downtown L.A. Upon arrival all of us were awestruck by the beautiful scenery in front of us. The place was enclosed in a plaza and the streets were lighted with little cute bulbs. In the middle of it all was a fountain with water shooting out constantly. Even the shops looked elegant and dainty.

The four of us gals meandered from one shop to another in search of good bargains and exquisite purchases while the boys (or rather men?!) sat out in a corner chatting away. Unfortunately our determined rummage proved to be unfruitful.

Since we had a friend who drove up from San Diego visiting, she insisted on checking out the bar scene in L.A. Everyone else seemed to be in for the night to go on so we headed to our next destination--downtown Hollywood. It was another whole new world out there where there were people who dressed in bizarre outfits and hairdos.

After wandering about soaking in the scene, we decided on a bar humorously named Pig Whisper. It's not too big yet comfortable enough since there weren't any aggravating drunk-ies in sight. We even took on the dance floor! To our surprise, more and more people joined us as the night drew on.

When we finally called it a night around 2am, I was tired but in a happy state =) However exhaustion hit close to home while I was brushing my teeth. I fell asleep almost instananeously once my head touched my soft and fluffy pillow...zzz...
